Anna C. Bahow
Anna C. Bahow served as the 2011-2012 Michael Maggio Directing Fellow at the Goodman, as an Associate Artist at Chicago Dramatists and the International Voices Project and is an alumnus of the side project. She is also an alumnus of both the Lincoln Center’s Directors Lab in New York and The Directors Lab in Chicago.
Her theatre directing work includes: Invasion! by Jonas Hassen Khemiri (Silk Road Rising), A Nice Indian Boy by Madhuri Shekar (Rasaka Theatre), Martin Furey's Shot by Maureen Gallagher (Timeline Theatre), Brewed by Scott Barsotti (Tympanic Ruckus) and Comrades Mine by Maureen Gallagher (City Lit).
Committed to the development of new plays, Ms. Bahow has directed workshops and staged readings with Silk Road Rising, Chicago Dramatists, Victory Gardens, American Theatre Company, Stage Left, and the side project among others. She is a past Program Director for the Women’s Theatre Alliance’s New Play Development Workshop and Festival in Chicago. Ms. Bahow studied filmmaking at Columbia College, has production-assisted for independent films and has directed her own short films.
